Sixth Annual ASME International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference (MSEC)
MSEC is an annual forum sponsored by the Manufacturing Engineering Division (MED) of ASME to disseminate recent results in manufacturing research and development through both technical papers and panel sessions.
This year in combining with the flagship manufacturing conferences of SME and JSME, MSEC will be the premiere venue for the dissemination of manufacturing research. Join colleagues discussing research across a wide range of materials, processes and manufacturing systems topics. This year’s conference will emphasize the innovation role of manufacturing and its importance to economic development. Workshops will focus on new market opportunities in clean energy, health care and transportation enabled by arrayed microchannel manufacturing and recent developments in reducing the cost, carbon footprint and worker exposure for nanomanufacturing in applications including microelectronics and solar cell manufacturing among others. Industry speakers and panels will discuss issues and trends in transportation, clean energy, and sustainability. The conference will be punctuated with student design competitions, student paper competitions, an early research career workshop and a manufacturing engineering education panel. Results of recent US manufacturing policy development efforts by ASME will be presented for engagement and feedback. Come network and meet new colleagues and participate in advancing the impact of the manufacturing engineering community on the global economy.
